Choose a size below for a star with the same width and height. Adjust either dimension afterward to make a tall or wide star.
Start with a classic 5-point star, a slim 5-point star, a 4-point sparkle, a 6-point star or a 12-point burst. For custom stars, choose 3–32 points and change the inner radius. These are closed outlines for cutting, rather than intersecting pentagram or hexagram line drawings.
Make stencils, classroom cutouts, Christmas ornaments, party garlands, felt appliqués and scrapbook decorations. Leave the fill off for an outline, or add a color for paper decorations. Seam allowances and glue tabs are not added automatically.
Choose “One star / tile large stars.” If the star is too large for your paper, the tool splits it at actual size. Print every sheet at 100%, arrange them by ROW and COL, trim along the page frames and overlap neighboring pages by the selected amount. Match the repeated star outlines before taping from the back.
Use A3 or Tabloid when you have a compatible printer to reduce the number of sheets. Choose “Fill the page” or “Custom count” for small stars. Placement uses each star’s bounding rectangle, rather than nesting shapes together.
Set the same paper size in this tool and your printer. Choose Actual Size or 100%, disable Fit to page, and turn off print headers and footers. Check the 1-inch or 50-mm ruler on the paper.
Width and height describe the outline before rotation, measured at the centers of the strokes. Rotating a star changes its bounding width and height; the preview reports those final dimensions. SVG exports include a small border around the shape, so the file’s outside dimensions are slightly larger than the star.
